We worked with 2 classes, each for 2 hours.
Year 5 class in the course of the year had worked through a number of the O-Generator lessons, so they were familiar with how O-Generator worked. Their task was to compose their own songs and import into a sequencer.
Year 4 was not familiar with O-Generator, so this was an introduction to
creating a backing track and writing a vocal hook.
Here is a sample of some of their work.
WHAT WE DID
Year 5:
Created a riff and drum pattern using the 3 easy steps.
Used Lesson 9 to help write their lyrics.
Arranged their music over a number of bars
Rehearsed singing to their music, and then recorded.
Year 4:

Used Lesson 9 to help write their lyrics.
Rehearsed singing to their music in time with drum pattern.
All recorded voices on 1 backing track.
