SONGWRITING WORKSHOP
St Matthew’s Primary School –Year 6
OBJECTIVES
Bassistry Music conducted a songwriting day for year
6 pupils.
The two classes each had a 2-hour session. Students
learnt the principals of creating a drum pattern, and creating simple
backing tracks.
We then used Lesson 9 of Learning to Compose to help
students write and practise their lyrics.
Students were then shown how to save,
record and export their recorded tracks to Audacity.
