GreenZone Playing For Success: The Recording Session : ANDY JORDAN

Session 1 – Students compose their own backing track in O-Generator. Andy restricted the time so the music was simple. Then made sure they developed a few bars of music around the O-Gen 3 easy steps.

Session 2 - He used WORDLE to help stimulate thinking on powerful words that could be used for lyrics. The theme was about the Spirit of the Olympics. The students then rehearsed lyrics to their music.

Session 3 – They then exported O-Generator parts to Garageband. Recorded the students singing in Garageband and added a few Garageband samples to enhance song. DONE.

Results – Proud young people who have created their own song and learnt about constructing words. Their confidence has been boosted through a great sense of achievement. Now that’s what I call education!
